AI Legal & Regulatory Scorecard
The AI Legal & Regulatory Scorecard is a two-page reference that shows your CCO, GC, or audit committee which AI laws are in place broadly across major US and global jurisdictions, with an emphasis on financial services, insurance, and healthcare companies due to their additional regulatory requirements. The scorecard also delineates which laws regulators and courts have already enforced, and upcoming deadlines. Edition 1 separates existing laws that have been applied to AI from new AI-specific laws, tags each entry to the business functions it affects most, and marks each law with an enforcement action or lawsuit on record if any.
The enforcement section carries the numbers a director will ask about: AI cases produced 73% of the stock-price drop at disclosure in the first half of 2026, while making up only 13% of securities class action filings, per Cornerstone Research. AI-washing in client and investor communications is the most prevalent cause of enforcement.
The deadlines panel opens with the EU AI Act Article 50 labeling duty on December 2, 2026, followed by the California ADMT rules and Colorado SB 26-189 on January 1, 2027.
